Story

Farleigh Hospice has provided and continues to provide unbelievable support to so many people with life-limiting illness and bereavement across mid-Essex.

The last two weeks of Susies life were spent at Farleigh where she was cared for by the amazing doctors and nurses. During her care she was shown so much compassion and support and she felt so comfortable and at ease whilst at the hospice.

Not only did they care for Susies but also made sure that the boys and I received and continue to receive the support we need to deal with this most awful time of our lives.

To help support others during this time, some friends and I are taking on some challenges.

On Sunday 29th May Terry Brewster, Ross Buck and Nick Wookey will be taking on the Ride London-Essex 100 mile bike ride. They will be starting their journey on London Embankment, heading out and around Essex before returning to London to finish the 100 miles over Tower Bridge.

On Saturday 11th June Terry will be completing the South Downs Way 100 mile run. He is hoping to complete this in under 24 hours!

On the 11th of August Ross and 3 friends will be completing 72 holes of golf in one day.

There will also be a 24 hours tennis marathon at Great Baddow tennis club starting 7pm Friday 21st October and finishing at 7pm on Saturday 22nd October. There will be cake and coffee and a party Saturday evening. If you’d like take part please contact Nick or Ross.

And then on Sunday 2nd October Claire Brewster, Lauren Buck, Terry Brewster, Danielle Walsh-Farren and Nick Wookey will be taking to the streets of London to complete the London Marathon on behalf of Farleigh Hospice.

Please help to support this wonderful charity by donating. Every penny makes a huge difference to the patients and their families in Farleighs care.
